Following our [live stream](https://atech.blog/deploy/watch-our-deployhq-launch-live-stream) last Thursday, we released a brand new version of [DeployHQ](https://www.deployhq.com) to all our customers.

The main features and additions that you'll find in the new [DeployHQ](https://www.deployhq.com) include:

- A brand new design and colour scheme for both the app and website
- Build commands for compiling your code on our own build servers before deployment
- A completely re-written deployment progress screen
- The ability to search for specific projects in your account
- The **DeployHQ Academy** , which includes revised documentation and support articles

## New Design

As part of the new version, we've completely redesigned and rebranded the [DeployHQ app](https://deployhq.com):

In particular, we've updated the navigation to make it easier to configure your project and find individual settings.

In addition to the app, we've redesigned the [DeployHQ](https://www.deployhq.com) website.

## Build Commands

We've added Build Commands as part of the new version of [DeployHQ](https://www.deployhq.com), which you can use to compile CSS or javascript, fetch dependencies for your project or even build a whole website using a static site generator.

This feature is now in open Beta and you can enable it on your account within any project - just use the **Build Commands** link on the left hand side of the screen, then the **Join Beta** button at the top.

## Deployment progress

One of the biggest design changes includes a complete rewrite of the deployment screen. We've now split the deployment into multiple steps, which allows you to easily check individual parts of the deployment either in progress, or after the deployment has finished.

## Project Searching

We now have a global project selector to make it even easier to jump between projects and start new deployments.

Just visit your **Projects** page or click the rocket to the top right of the screen, then type a search at the top. You can then immediately run a deployment via the **Deploy** to the right hand side of any projects that have been found from your search.

## DeployHQ Academy

We've added a brand new support area to the [DeployHQ](https://www.deployhq.com) website - the **[DeployHQ Academy](https://www.deployhq.com/academy)** - which contains a number of useful sections including our new manual. This has a full suite of documentation with set up guides, troubleshooting and information about all the features in the platform.
