DeployHQ can be installed straight from your browser so it runs like a standalone app, with its own icon on your desktop, dock, taskbar, or phone home screen. It opens in its own window without the browser address bar and tabs, so you can jump straight into your deployments.

There is nothing to download from an app store. This uses your browser's built-in "install" support, so you are always running the same up-to-date DeployHQ.

## Install on desktop (Chrome, Edge, and other Chromium browsers)

1. Open DeployHQ in your browser and sign in as normal.
2. Look for the install icon at the right-hand end of the address bar. It looks like a small monitor with a downward arrow.
3. Click it and confirm **Install**. You can also use the browser menu and choose **Install DeployHQ**.

DeployHQ will open in its own window and add an icon to your dock, taskbar, or applications list. From then on you can launch it like any other app.

## Install on mobile

### iPhone and iPad (Safari)

1. Open DeployHQ in Safari and tap the **Share** button.
2. Choose **Add to Home Screen**.
3. Confirm the name and tap **Add**.

### Android (Chrome)

1. Open DeployHQ in Chrome and tap the browser menu.
2. Choose **Install app** or **Add to Home screen**.
3. Confirm to add it.

The DeployHQ icon will appear on your home screen and open in its own window.

## Removing the app

You can remove the installed app at any time without affecting your account.

- **Desktop:** open the installed DeployHQ app, open its menu, and choose **Uninstall DeployHQ**. You can also manage installed apps from your browser's apps page.
- **Mobile:** remove the icon from your home screen the same way you would remove any other app.

Removing the installed app does not sign you out anywhere else or change any of your projects, servers, or deployments.
