Mobile Teams Miss Releases
When your team works from phones, desktop-only chat tools leave critical updates unread.
Without push notifications on mobile, deployments slip past the people who most need to know.
Push Alerts via the Telegram Bot
Every deployment fires a Telegram message — chat, group, or channel — with full deploy context.
How It Works
Three steps from BotFather to first alert.
Create a Bot
Talk to @BotFather in Telegram, register a new bot, and grab the API token.
Pick Your Chat
Add the bot to a chat, group, or channel — whichever audience should receive deploy updates — and copy the chat ID.
Get Notified
Drop the token and chat ID into DeployHQ. Your next deploy lands as a message in Telegram.
Why Use Telegram Notifications
Reach the right people on the device they actually have on them.
Mobile-First Push
Telegram's native push notifications mean alerts hit phones reliably — even on lock screen.
Chats, Groups, Channels
Send to a private chat for solo developers, a group for the team, or a public channel for status broadcasts.
Bring Your Own Bot
Use a bot you control — own the rate limits, the username, and the message styling. No DeployHQ middle layer.
Easy Setup
From bot creation to first alert: a few minutes with @BotFather and you're set.
Wire up Telegram in minutes
Talk to BotFather
Open @BotFather in Telegram, run /newbot, and copy the API token it gives you.
Add Bot to a Chat
Invite the bot to the chat, group, or channel that should receive deploys, then look up the chat ID.
Configure DeployHQ
Paste the token and chat ID into your DeployHQ project's integrations. Trigger a deploy and check your phone.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Telegram integration work?
DeployHQ uses the Telegram Bot API. You create a bot with @BotFather, add it to whichever chat, group, or channel should receive notifications, then plug the bot token and chat ID into your DeployHQ project. Each deploy event sends a message to that chat.
Can I send notifications to a public channel?
Yes. Telegram bots can post to public channels you administer, private channels, group chats, and direct chats. The setup is the same — create the bot, add it to the destination as an admin if required, then configure DeployHQ with the chat ID.
Do I need to host my own bot infrastructure?
No. Telegram hosts the bot for you — you just register it via @BotFather and use the token. DeployHQ talks to Telegram's API directly when a deploy fires, so there's nothing extra to run on your side.
